There is no proof that the Patriots cheated in earlier season but human behavior usually stays the same. Patriots riped off much earlier than 2007, more like 2001 with that Superbowl victory. “Oh my husband acquiredt rip off on me again” and he rip offs on you. “Oh I cheated once on a test in Highschool and didn’t get picked up then I’ll cheat again”. Patriots are an astute team. Belichick is an impressive coach but he knows how to work teams and the system. He cheats to get victories. don’t you people recognise this is what sports has come to? NFL Athletes utilizing steroids “S. Merriman”, NFL players using “Rodney Harrison”. MLB players using Steroids and Bonds, Mcguire, Sosa, many other concealed players. If one member of a team cheats it isn’t as sorry as the 11 men that the Patriots have on offense all riping off at the same time. I cognize I’m proper here with proof or not. A bacchanal driver never gets pulled over his first time imbibing and driving and same with a cheating team. they never get caught 1st timlol I don’t have a GF Cartell discriminating seek though : )lightning extraordinary point! I never thought of that. one player cheating vs. 11 loathsome players cognizing the plays of the other team = far worse.

There was proof that’s why they got fined idiot! I’ve never cheated on my wife because I’m not married. I played sports and never cheated.

Actually they were caught cheating against the Packers last year, same person filling on the sidelines. They had security remove the guy, but didn’t turn it into the NFL. The Pats kept cheating until they were caught by the NFL.

If you think the Patriots are the only team in the league to try something that is not within the rules then you have never played on a real sports team before. At every level in every sport people try to get any edge possible. No matter if it’s a rec league softball team or a pro football team. Is it right ?? No, but don’t come across with a holier than though attitude, like you have never done anything against the rules?? …they got caught, they are paying the penalty. Done issue. Get over your jealousy.
there was no proof released to the public of previous patriots cheating; however, it isn’t that far a stretch to think that the jets game this year was their “first time” trying that little system. two things happened during that jets game, the former assistant with the patriots (now the head coach of the jets) sent people in search of the patriots camera man and the patriots camera man has gotten lazy in his covert videotaping.
the other thing that the jets did was to complain that there was some sort of interference with the microphones used in the helmets (you know… the green dot that is asked about daily). the patriots interfere with the wireless signal so that handsignals must be used exclusively… wham, bam, thank you ma’am.

gotta love the “everyone else is cheating” defense. THAT IS CRAP. WHY BUY TICKETS TO A GAME THAT HAS SOMETHING ELSE GOING ON BEHIND THE SCENES? the game is supposed to be played on the field by people who are portrayed as hard working athletes.
why cheat against the jets? it is a bigger picture and database that bill bellichick and ernie adams are (and have been) building. they aren’t “cheating” against the jets, they are developing a file on all those coaches on the opposing sidelines. this way, they know when they see coaches again (when they get hired out to other teams) they’ll already have a head start on what plays that coach likes to play during certain game situations…. as well as how they like to communicate those play calls during the game.
I have morals, so I wouldn’t cheat on my wife, nor have I ever cheated on an ex-girlfriend. Why would I cheat in football, it’s entertainment for me and nothing else. I did cheat on a test once in middle school and got caught. Let’s just say my dad gave me more than just a slap on the wrist for that one.
What I don’t get is how can so many people so easily just brush over the cheating. They say it’s only once. They say it didn’t really help them win. They say they’ve been punished. They say it’s over. They say to just forget it or get over it. We’re talking about a multi-billion dollar business here. How many millions of dollars were involved in the game they got caught? And how many more millions of dollars were involved in the games they didn’t get caught? (player salaries, advertising contracts, ticket prices, radio & tv revenues, etc.) Cheating in any other industry of this scale would result in major federal jail time and bunch of heads getting cut off. But Pats fans want to just pretent that it was something insignificant. I don’t get it.
